Brian May Sounds | Fractal Audio Axe-FX III

This preset is a faithful and accurate recreation of Brian May sounds.

There are seven scenes that cover Brian May's historic sounds, from early albums with Queen to his solo career.

You can find one Custom IR (impulse response) in this preset in order to get a very accurate response with the Axe-Fx III AC30 simulation. It is based on the Vox AC30 CC2 2x12 Combo (Alnico Blue).

Various effect blocks (phaser, delays, reverb, treble booster and so on...) are precisely tweaked to match the original tones.

There's also an FC12 layout to be ready to use this preset live in a gig. Here's the list of the scenes you will find in the preset (note that the song title as scene title doesn't mean you can use that scene only for that song!)

Scene 1: Keep Yourself Alive → the early BM tone...

Scene 2: Killer Queen → enjoy this classic AC30 tone with neck pickup

Scene 3: I Want It All → a "modern" BM tone with delay and chorus

Scene 4: Bohemian Rhapsody → a great classic, a "squealing" singing tone

Scene 5: Last Horizon → lead tone with effects and ambience

Scene 6: Brighton Rock → the iconic "two delay" sound for BM live solo spot

Scene 7: Harmonies → the classic "orchestral" sound, just change the scale to get the harmonies you need

Exactly as the real Brian May you will  get beautiful clean sounds just lowering the volume of your guitar!

This preset has a great dynamic!

This preset is ear tweaked using multiple audio listening gear (pro headphones, in-ear monitors, pro studio monitor, frfr cabs and PA).

You can use this preset through a DI, FOH, or through a FRFR speaker.
You can run it through a guitar amp/combo return too by switching off power amp and cab modeling from "global setting".
