Vox AC30 British Madness multi preset for the Fractal Audio Axe-FX III
This preset explores the multiple nuances of the iconic AC30 amp.
In eight scenes you can go from crispy crunch to vintage clear, with vintage and/or modern effects.
The effects on this presets are: compressor, overdrive, reverb, delay, chorus, tremolo. Each of them are accurately tweaked, and there are more version of the same effects (try changing the effects channels from A to D).
One custom IR (impulse response) is included in order to have a great and authentic speaker cab tone. It is based on the Vox AC30 CC2 2x12 Combo (Alnico Blue).
Scene 1: Vintage tremoVOX - Vintage clean sound (but almost crunch) tone with a vintage tremolo.
Scene 2: Vintage Crunchy VOX - That's what a VOX amp has to sound like in my opinion
Scene 3: Vintage Treble Boosted VOX - Treble boost not only increases the highs but also boosts the input of the amp itself. So it provides a great crunch tone!
Scene 4: Vintage Chorus VOX - Have you ever heard a late '70 - early '80 chorused guitar on pop album? That sound is here!
Scene 5: Vintage Lead VOX - Pushing the crunch of this amp to distortion!
Scene 6: Modern Crunch VOX - A modern sound for this amp, try it to have a great tone that cuts through the mix!
Scene 7: Modern Diet VOX - As the Scene 6 but with more gain.
Scene 8: Modern Lead VOX - A "modern" lead tone but with a "vintage" flavour.
This preset is ear tweaked using multiple audio listening gear (pro headphones, in-ear monitors, pro studio monitor, frfr cabs and PA).
You can use this preset through a DI, FOH, or through a FRFR speaker.
You can run it through a guitar amp/combo return too by switching off power amp and cab modeling from "global setting".
