Tone capture of the Mesa Boogie Lonestar Special, a tonal powerhouse. The Mesa/Boogie Lone Star Special guitar combo amp lets you bask in all-tube Class A goodness! The Lone Star Special gives you two independent channels, each of which lets you assign one, two, or all four EL84 output tubes for 5-, 15-, or 30-watt power - you can call up full power for plenty of clean headroom on one channel while assigning lower power to the other for creamy overdrive!
CHANNEL 1 epitomizes the best of Black Face: a punchy, shimmering twang that gives way to furry smoothness while CHANNEL 2 has a split personality. At the flick of a switch, it can clone the clean magic of Channel 1 (with an added touch of blues-roots gain) or kick in an additional high-gain amplifier with its own dedicated control.
This preset is best used with a power amp (or the FX Loop of an amp) and a cabinet. If you don't intend to use a cabinet please turn on cab sim and either select one of the stock cab sims or use one of the included matched cabinet IRs. This tone capture comes with a Mesa Boogie Lone Star 2x12 Combo IR and a Mesa Boogie Lone Star 23 1x12 IR with two more tube variations for each!
