EHX Big Muff Pi Sound Clone | HoTone Ampero II

Sound Clone of the ballsy EHX Big Muff Pi going into the preamp of a Mesa Boogie Mark III. A classic drive/fuzz pedal for many guitarists and bassists. Especially for bassists it is something you would usually find in their pedalboard. For some, the EHX Big Muff has that nasty thick sound that’s cool for heavy riffs while for others it has that singing lead tone for solos. Either way, the Big Muff has always been inimitable among other pedals and that’s the way it is.

The controls of the Big Muff are pretty simple, Volume, Tone and Sustain. The sustain knob controls the amount of gain of the pedal. While low settings produce a semi-transparent drive tone, turning the knob makes your sound thicker and fuzzier. Also, low settings are sometimes used in order to give more sustain to your current overdrive sound, and that’s why it is known as distortion/sustainer while the Wicker switch brings out more harmonics that give a "polishing" effect to your fuzz tone.

This preset can be used either with a Power Amp (or the FX Loop of an Amp) and a Cabinet or straight to an Audio Interface, PA Speakers or FRFR. If you intend to use a Power Amp and Cabinet, please turn OFF the pedal's CAB SIM. Includes both STUDIO and LIVE  NVA Matching Cabinet Impulse Responses. 

ALL INCLUDED SOUND CLONES ARE DI SOUND CLONES, meaning that you can either use them with your Ampero II and a power amp/cabinet or select any Stock Cab/IR of your choice when connected to FRFR/PA Speakers or Audio Interface. Comes with a NVA Custom Alnico Cream IR and a NVA Custom V30 IR plus a Bonus Bass IR!
