Tone Capture of the most boutique amp ever made, the Dumble Overdrive Special. No words can easily describe how rich is the tone coming from this amplifier. Howard Alexander Dumble's hand-crafted boutique guitar amps have long been some of the most prestigious, rare and valuable amps in the world. Dumble's amps are actually so rare, that their clones number more pieces than the originals!
The Overdrive Special is a two channel amplifier, with a clean channel and a second "overdrive" channel. This overdrive channel "cascades" from the first channel into at least one additional gain stage in the overdrive channel. This means that the clean channel tone stack and gain stages cascade into the gain stage of the overdrive channel, overdriving the clean channel. In a sense, the overdrive channel sits "on top" of the clean channel. This is Dumble's most popular model, and subsequently is the most frequently seen.
This preset is best used with a power amp (or the FX Loop of an amp) and a cabinet. If you don't intend to use a cabinet please turn on cab sim and either select one of the stock cab sims or use one of the included matched cabinet IRs. This tone capture comes with a Matchless ESS112 1x12 IR and a Matchless ESD212 2x12 IR, each with two more tube variations!
