This AC/DC preset is inspired by the classic and instantly recognizable sound of the band’s records from what is arguably their peak! It’s a tonal mix of the ‘Highway to Hell’ and ‘Back In Black’ albums, which as usual for their music features a rich, powerful, mid focused sound. Using the expression pedal allows you to go from rhythm to lead playing instantly!
There are two versions of essentially the same preset available:
FLOOR/LT – which makes use of the expression pedal to change the volume and gain as mentioned above, without the use of snapshots.
STOMP – which uses snapshots without the need of an external expression pedal to swap between rhythm and lead tones. Both versions are compatible with the Stomp.
The preset was put together using a 1972 Gibson SG Deluxe, and tested on studio monitors and headphones. It was made on firmware version 3.11 but should have no problems with later versions (it works fine on 3.15).
ANG Rhythm – Rhythm tone with slightly boosted gain to reflect Angus’s use of his wireless system, which gives him a boost in gain/compression.
Solo – Angus’s huge solo tone with increased volume/saturation from the amp. Let there be rock!
MAL Rhythm – This is a slightly lower gain but still powerful tone that is reflective of Malcolm’s playing beside Angus.
This preset is best used when connected to a PA console, audio interface or FRFR speaker as it has cab sim (IR) enabled. If you intend to use it with an amp and cabinet please disable the amp/cab block.
